Three Sections of the Yintao Water Supply Project Officially Begin Construction
In November 2015, one section of the Yintao Water Supply Project, a key water conservancy project in Gansu Province in which our company participated, commenced construction. The section includes two water diversion tunnels with a total length of 3,627 m, a project value of RMB 40 million, and a total construction period of 45 months.
After six months of production process optimization and technical improvements, the project management team adopted mechanical excavation using a tunnel boring machine instead of the traditional blasting excavation method based on the geological conditions. This effectively accelerated construction progress, improved efficiency, and reduced construction costs. At present, 900 m of excavation and support works have been completed. In terms of construction progress, safety, and quality, this section ranks among the top-performing sections in the evaluation of more than 20 sections of the Yintao Water Supply Project, receiving recognition from both the supervision unit and the project owner.
In April 2016, our company successfully won two additional sections of the Yintao Water Supply Project. The project management teams for these two sections have been basically established, with key personnel in place. Preparations for preliminary surveying, temporary facilities, and construction team organization are currently underway. One of the sections consists of five tunnels, with a total tunnel length of 9,561 m, a project value of over RMB 60 million, and a total construction period of 38 months. Due to geological constraints, traditional blasting excavation methods will be adopted.
The other section consists of six tunnels, with a total tunnel length of 7,833 m. The longest tunnel is 2,589 m long, with a project value of over RMB 60 million and a total construction period of 38 months.Through the construction and management of the three sections of the Gansu Yintao Water Supply Project, our company plans to cultivate a group of technical specialists and management personnel in tunnel construction, accumulate professional experience, expand into new construction markets, and inject new vitality into the company’s future development.
