Local time, 18:34 on July 2, 2025 — Gaoneng Blasting successfully completed its inaugural 30-tonne large-scale production blast at the open-pit gold mine project in a Central Asian country.

Owned by a third-party mining operator, the gold mine is situated on the southern slope of a mountain range in Central Asia. As mining advances to deeper ore zones, the mine’s stripping ratio continues to rise, leading to mounting challenges from under-stripping. Meanwhile, the processing plant expansion has been finished, requiring sustained ore output without delays.

To address the client’s pressing operational challenges, Gaoneng Blasting mobilized technical teams promptly during preliminary negotiations. Led by the General Manager, the team carried out on-site investigations at the mine. Working closely with the mine operator, technical specialists analyzed site conditions and formulated a development plan: accelerating overburden removal via large-scale production blasting while minimizing disruption to ongoing underground mining activities. Merely more than ten days after contract signing, the project crew was assembled and deployed to the site.

This successful inaugural blast marks the mine’s transition into accelerated overburden removal through large-scale production blasting. For Gaoneng Blasting, it also echoes a milestone achieved 13 years ago. Back in 2012, during the initial open-pit stripping phase of this same gold mine, our company delivered a massive chamber blasting operation covering 1.68 million cubic metres. It represented the country’s first large-scale chamber blasting and the first deployment of Chinese chamber blasting technology on an overseas mining site, standing as a landmark in the global expansion of China’s blasting industry. The latest blast bears testament to Gaoneng’s long-standing ethos of tackling complex challenges with technical expertise, as well as the firm’s commitment to cross-border expansion, targeted mine solutions and sustainable high-quality growth.

Building on this achievement, the project team and the wider company aim to develop this site into a benchmark overseas project. Gaoneng Blasting will deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with the client, advance technical innovation and service optimisation, and deliver tailored technical solutions and reliable blasting execution to support efficient mining operations at the gold mine. Leveraging this success, the company will further expand its overseas footprint, demonstrate the expertise and responsibility of Chinese blasting enterprises, and create more success stories for international cooperation.
