Second 720-Ton Chamber Blasting Project Successfully Completed

Following the successful completion of the first chamber blasting operation at the Tarozin Gold Mine in Tajikistan, our company designed and supervised the construction of the mine’s second chamber blasting project, which was successfully carried out on June 20, 2012.

At 9:58 a.m., the blasting was initiated, and the rock mass was successfully loosened and collapsed as designed. The entire blasting delay lasted only 880 milliseconds. Site inspections showed that the muck pile was well shaped, rock fragmentation was uniform, large blocks were limited, and flyrock was controlled within 200 meters. Vibration monitoring results were within the allowable design limits.

The project involved two charging levels, with 76 chambers, 35 blasting delays, 958m of actual charging length, 718.541 tons of explosives used, and approximately 1.2 million m³ of rock excavation. The successful blasting ensured safety, quality, and construction progress, receiving recognition from the owner, government officials, and local residents.
