The year 2020 was destined to be an extraordinary year. As construction was about to resume, the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 severely affected the full reopening of the company’s projects.

In response to the national call for action, and to ensure effective epidemic prevention and personal health and safety, employees of our Tanjianshan Gold Mine Project Department began reporting their daily temperature readings and health conditions from January 26, while actively preparing for their return to work.Each employee received three separate mobilization notices. The first two return-to-work plans were canceled shortly before departure due to specific local epidemic prevention requirements communicated by the local government. Despite this, our employees remained fully committed and repeatedly went through the process of purchasing and canceling tickets without complaint. Two employees from Shandong even received the cancellation notice after departure, forcing them to return home after reaching Xi’an.Although the third mobilization plan was approved by the local epidemic prevention and control headquarters, many employees’ home regions had already implemented strict travel control measures. Through repeated communication between management and employees, and by jointly finding solutions, the first group of 11 employees overcame numerous difficulties while ensuring their own health and safety. They successfully arrived at the project site quarantine area on February 12.

With close communication between the project owner and the local epidemic prevention and control headquarters, the returning employees were fully prepared for a 14-day quarantine period to ensure the health and safety of both the employees and the project team.The employees who remained at the project site carefully prepared the quarantine facilities, carried out thorough disinfection, and quickly arranged 11 separate rooms for quarantine. They also prepared daily necessities, disinfectants, and protective supplies. The Tanjianshan Gold Mine Project Department was the first project team in our company to return to work after the outbreak, and also the first among the four construction units under the project owner to receive workers from outside the province. Its rapid recovery of production activities was highly praised by the project owner and relevant organizations.In the face of this sudden outbreak, you demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and overall commitment. Your discipline and dedication in responding to the call of the company reflected your loyalty, while your ability to “take on the challenge and get the job done” showed your determination and accountability. We believe you will continue to demonstrate the confidence to overcome difficulties and successfully complete the intensive production tasks after restrictions are lifted. At the same time, we would also like to recognize the employees who stayed at their posts during the Spring Festival, as their efforts laid a solid foundation for the timely and full resumption of production.
