Successful Demolition Blasting of No.1 Boiler Building at Yuanbaoshan Power Plant  

At 9:30 a.m. on July 18, with the coordination and support of the Chifeng Public Security Bureau and Yuanbaoshan Power Generation Co., Ltd., our company successfully completed the demolition blasting of the No.1 Boiler Building at Yuanbaoshan Power Plant in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia.

Located in the central area of the power plant, the building was surrounded by complex conditions. The east wall was only 5 meters from the coal conveyor bridge, 20 meters from the No.2 Boiler Building, and just 1 meter from the reinforced concrete support of the coal conveyor bridge. The north side was close to the dust removal room of Unit 1, while the southwest side was approximately 43 meters from the office building. In addition, the building was connected to the coal hopper structure, which had to be preserved through pre-blasting cutting work. An underground cable trench also ran through the blasting area, creating significant challenges for safe demolition.

To ensure the safety of surrounding structures and underground facilities, the company developed a detailed blasting plan featuring “separation cutting, in-situ collapse, millisecond delay initiation, sequential blasting, and fully enclosed protection.” The project used 744 kg of explosives and 2,100 detonators.The demolition blasting was successfully completed, with surrounding buildings and equipment remaining safe. The project received high recognition from the public security authorities, the owner, and local residents.
