Eliminating Safety Hazards and Building a Safe Hangzhou Together

— The 2019 Obsolete Ammunition Destruction Project of Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau Successfully Completed

With the sound of a loud explosion, the 2019 Obsolete Ammunition Destruction Project of Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau was successfully completed.

Following a thorough review of the disposal plan, identification of chemical weapon characteristics by the Zhejiang Provincial Military Command, and coordination meetings among multiple departments, the project was carefully prepared and rigorously implemented. Under the guidance of various departments, including the Public Order Detachment of Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Public Order Brigade of Tonglu County Public Security Bureau, the destruction operation was successfully completed at 11:00 a.m. on March 20, 2019.

The destruction site was located at the high-mountain limestone quarry construction site of Hangzhou Tonglu Red Lion Cement Co., Ltd. A total of 120 pieces of various types of obsolete ammunition were destroyed, including 69 mortar shells, 38 grenades, 2 howitzer shells, 1 anti-aircraft shell, 2 anti-aircraft machine gun rounds, 1 grenade, 5 smoke grenades, and 2 anti-aircraft machine gun rounds.

The destruction was carried out using the explosive destruction method, with public security officers stationed on site to supervise and inspect every stage of the operation.

Through rational construction procedures and outstanding technical expertise, our company successfully completed the ammunition destruction task assigned by the municipal public security bureau once again. The project received recognition and approval from the leaders of the Public Order Detachment of Hangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau.
