The inaugural meeting and the first plenary session of the National Technical Committee for Public Safety Management Standardization of Explosive Materials were held in Beijing on April 8. Zhang Zhengzhong, Chairman of our company, attended the meeting as a member of the committee.

The safety of explosive materials is directly related to the safety of people’s lives and property, public security, and long-term national stability. At the meeting, Sun Lijun, Member of the Party Committee and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Public Security, emphasized the need to promote the safe development of the industry through standardization. He called for strengthening the concept of “Safety First,” accelerating the formulation, revision, and integration of public safety standards for explosive materials, and establishing a comprehensive standard system centered on mandatory national standards.

He also stressed that standardization should lead innovation and development in the industry by promoting the integration of standards with technological innovation, social governance, and management services, transforming innovative achievements and advanced technologies into continuous drivers for improving safety management capabilities. Furthermore, standardization should support practical industry development by prioritizing standards urgently needed at the grassroots level and better meeting the requirements of explosive materials safety management. It should also facilitate long-term industry development by strengthening the training of professional standardization personnel, management personnel, and enterprise standardization teams, building a highly capable workforce with strong professional competence and a well-balanced structure.

It is reported that the first National Technical Committee for Public Safety Management Standardization of Explosive Materials consists of 124 members from relevant government departments, including public security, industry and information technology, and emergency management authorities, as well as research institutions, universities, industry associations, and enterprises. The Ministry of Public Security is responsible for daily management and professional guidance.

The committee is primarily responsible for developing the national standard system for public safety management of explosive materials, as well as organizing the formulation and revision of related standards. It aims to convey government policies, unite industry resources, fulfill social responsibilities in supporting and promoting explosive materials safety management, and foster a collaborative framework featuring joint problem solving, coordinated efforts, and shared security development.
