On January 9, construction officially commenced for the Dawangtang Mining Area Tanganshan‑Zone Mining and Slope‑Safety‑Risk Remediation Project awarded to GN Energetic Blasting, undertaken for China Resources Cement (Fengkai) Co., Ltd. The core scope of works covers mountain slope reduction. The remediation target is an isolated, extremely steep ridge‑shaped horn peak left over from early‑stage mining activities, standing 156 meters high with an 80‑degree slope angle. Multiple inherent obstacles including inaccessible terrain, abundant loose hazardous rocks and high slope‑collapse risks have posed substantial challenges to construction techniques, technical solutions and safety management.
