Successful First Underwater Rock Blasting in Huzhou

For the needs of channel dredging, our company successfully carried out the first underwater rock blasting operation on the Huzhou section of the Changhushen Waterway.

The project covered a blasting area of more than 5,000 m² and involved complex conditions, including nearby residential areas, overhead 220kV power lines, frequent vessel traffic, and a thin blasting layer. The project was classified as a Class A blasting operation after expert review.

The blasting adopted hole-by-hole initiation technology, double-layer surface protection, and vibration monitoring measures. The blasting vibration and water column effects were effectively controlled within the design limits, and the results were recognized by relevant authorities.
