Our Company Implements the New Blasting Safety Regulations
The Safety Regulations for Blasting (GB6722-2014) were issued on December 5, 2014, and officially came into effect on July 1, 2015. The regulations play an important role in ensuring the safety of blasting operations and reducing blasting accidents. They promote the safe, healthy, and sustainable development of China’s blasting industry and serve as a mandatory code of conduct for blasting operation units and blasting engineering technicians.
To comprehensively promote the implementation of the new Safety Regulations for Blasting, the Engineering Technology Department purchased official copies of the regulations before their implementation and distributed them to all engineering technicians, enabling them to study the new requirements in advance. In July, the company’s Chief Engineer, together with personnel from the Engineering Technology Department and Quality & Safety Department, conducted on-site training sessions on the Safety Regulations for Blasting at the headquarters, branches, and offices. During each training session, Chief Engineer Chen provided detailed explanations of the new provisions and requirements, highlighted key and difficult points, and engaged in discussions with participants regarding practical issues encountered in work and study.
After the training, the Safety Management Department organized a knowledge examination on the Safety Regulations for Blasting. The examination further strengthened employees’ understanding of the new regulations and promoted their effective implementation. During the implementation process, some issues and suggestions regarding the new regulations were also identified. After being compiled and reviewed, these issues were submitted to the industry association for further clarification and the release of relevant guidelines.
