On April 15, 2021, the 2020 China Blasting Industry Association Science and Technology Awards Ceremony was held in Chongqing. More than 160 experts, scholars, and representatives from industry organizations attended the event, including academicians Wang Xuguang and Xie Xianqi of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Our company was invited to attend and received one Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress and two Ministerial-Level Construction Methods.

Since its establishment in 2002, the China Blasting Industry Association Science and Technology Awards have received full recognition from the National Office for Science and Technology Awards. The awards are highly authoritative and specialized, with broad influence, and represent some of the most advanced scientific and technological achievements in China’s blasting industry.
The company’s project, “Differentiated Precision Blasting Demolition Technology for Large Hyperbolic Aqueducts Based on the Preservation of Trough Piers,” received the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress. Drawing on the specific challenges and characteristics of the Longmen Bridge Aqueduct Blasting Demolition Project, the project developed a differentiated precision blasting design approach, a method for determining inter-span initiation time differences through dynamic analysis based on control of damage to the aqueduct piers, and a method for determining blasting parameters through numerical simulation based on the strength and ultimate strain of reinforced concrete. The technology was successfully applied in practice and reached an internationally advanced level.

Drawing on the company’s extensive experience in the disposal of obsolete firearms and ammunition, the “Small-Charge Disposal Method for Obsolete Firearms and Ammunition Using a Combustion Chamber” has been developed and applied in multiple projects. By adjusting key parameters such as heat intensity and combustion duration according to the characteristics of different types of obsolete firearms and ammunition, the method enables real-time control throughout the disposal process and allows the results of each individual item to be visually monitored and verified. The process is safe, efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly, and has reached a leading level in China.

Drawing on multiple cofferdam demolition blasting projects, the company developed the “Construction Method for Drilling and Charging Ultra-Long, Gently Inclined Holes for Bedrock Dock Cofferdam Demolition Blasting.” This method addresses the challenge of controlling the drilling accuracy of ultra-long, gently inclined holes exceeding 40–50 meters in the blasting demolition of bedrock dock cofferdams and similar waterfront structures. It improves the reliability of successful one-time cofferdam blasting while ensuring construction safety and efficiency, and has reached a leading level in China.

These numerous awards and achievements demonstrate our company’s strong professional expertise and capabilities in technological innovation. Building on this recognition, we will continue to uphold our philosophy of “Innovation Leads, Technology Strengthens the Company, Technical Excellence Comes First, and People Are Our Foundation.” We will make full use of the China Blasting Industry Association’s science and technology awards to strengthen our competitiveness, improve business performance, develop talent, and enhance blasting safety.
Through measures such as strengthening the internal development and application of technological achievements, expanding collaboration between industry and universities, increasing investment in research and development, and building a strong talent pipeline, we will continue to enhance our technological innovation capabilities and management expertise, contributing to the healthy and rapid development of China’s blasting industry.
